Waiting for the hundredth monkey to arrive!

In 1952, on the Japanese island of Koshima, scientists fed Macaca Fuscata monkeys by dropping sweet potatoes in the sand. The monkeys liked the taste of the sweet potatoes, but found the sand unpleasant. Then an 18-month-old female named Imo solved the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother and playmates and they taught their mothers too.

Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sand covered sweet potatoes before they ate them, only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the sandy sweet potatoes.

Then in the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshima monkeys were washing sweet potatoes - the exact number is not known, but let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes. Let's further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.

THEN IT HAPPENED!

By that evening almost every monkey in the troupe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!

The scientists studying the monkeys then noticed something even stranger... The habit of washing sweet potatoes then somehow jumped over the sea to colonies of monkeys on other islands and to the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama.

Thus was born 'the hundredth monkey phenomenon', which states that when a certain critical number achieves an awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind. Although the exact number may vary, this phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of only these people. But there is a point at which if only one more person tunes-in to a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!

So where am I going with this?

If we're waiting for 'the hundredth human' to become fully aware and fully accept, for example, the truth that their governments are lying, cheating, torturing and murdering on a daily basis, that September 11 2001 was an inside job, that most of the worlds past and present conflicts and wars are created and controlled by Zionists, the New World Order and the Illuminati, that bird flu is just another tool to frighten the masses and not a pandemic that will kill multi-millions worldwide etc, etc... At this point I'll stop and allow you to add your own personal favourites to the list... We could be waiting for a very very long time.

It's my opinion that 99.9% of people who regularly read Internet material on sites like Rense, Prison Planet and Stuart Wilde etc are fully aware and fully accept the truth about whats really going on and just occasionally one of the 'sheeple' will stumble upon the aforementioned sites, read the material and a light bulb will go on! Suddenly it all makes sense to them!

But when you do the maths if we're only converting the 'sheeple' at such a slow rate its just not effective or efficient. In other words, preaching to the converted minority is futile. If we want to make radical changes to the way things are we have to somehow reach the 'sheeple' some other way if we are to achieve the 'the hundredth monkey phenomenon'.

At this point, if you're still reading, you're probably waiting for me to pull a rabbit out of a hat and show you a new approach... Unfortunately that's not going to happen... But I am a firm believer that two heads are better at thinking than one so I open the doors and invite anyone and everyone to add their thoughts on what would be a good direction to go.

It seems that I'm not the only one coming to this conclusion... Here is a quote from http://www.thepriceofliberty.org/07/03/05/ward.htm

'''There is evidence that the internet has reached market saturation for dispersal of information. There are 220 million adults 'in the US out of 296 million total population. Approximately 137 million adults and children have internet access. About 80 million adults believe the US government either planned or assisted 911. About 50 million children have internet access at home. In essence almost all current dispersal of information on the net is to those that already know the truth. Activism on the internet is basically a non productive enterprise except for organization. It is imperative that rights activists shift information and activism venues from the net to the public in general.'''

This is another view taken from the article found here http://www.rense.com/general75/allover.htm

"In the remaining "good" years we have, basking in the illusions of peace and prosperity, our primary outreach has to be to the good people we know who need to understand the degree in which liberty is already lost when we only possess the appearance of a democratic process. When elections, the courts, and the media are effectively rigged as well, there is no real way to change things within the law. Don't worry about trying to influence those who don't have a clue. Search out those that suspect that something is wrong. If, in today's analysis rich internet environment, a friend can't sense anything wrong, you are dealing with someone who doesn't want to see. You'll only antagonize them by trying to open their eyes. Work with people who are teachable and interested in truth and you'll be less frustrated in this process. We must do our part in building a remnant that will not be snookered into drifting into the NWO when it finally takes on the force of evil law."

Here I think is the glimmer of an idea that could be instigated quite simply at a local level in most countries... Taken from here http://www.rense.com/general75/hgod.htm

Forget the "usual methods!" Screw the Congress-they only listen to Israel, and never to American voters! We need to start making everything a local matter, because all Politics really is local! While the networks have their hammer-locks in place, thanks to Clinton's Telecommunications Act that legalized the theft of local control over real news, then turned it all into gossip or propaganda-despite all that there is still some dissention in their ranks. Why not at least find out call them up, be clear but determined. Make certain! Send them a "The Question of the Week"? Involve your friends and make the "question" as interesting to as many people as you can. Set up sit-ins at the stations: bombard talk-radio with Questions, Questions, and more Questions! Then watch the resistance grow right there where you live-because the people DO know that this whole thing STINKS-Big- Time!
